About the Role
Whassan Nigeria Limited (WENL), in operation since 1982 alongside our affiliate Adasa Catering Services Ltd, is a premier provider of top-tier catering and facilities management services to both the oil and gas sector and broader industries across Nigeria. We are currently looking for a dedicated and results-driven Supply Chain Officer to join our dynamic team on a renewable contract basis for onshore and offshore locations.
Key Responsibilities- Source and procure a wide variety of foodstuffs including dry, fresh, and frozen items, alongside kitchen consumables, cleaning chemicals, and catering equipment.
- Identify, evaluate, and maintain an updated list of approved vendors to ensure continuous and reliable supply chains.
- Obtain competitive quotations while negotiating the best prices, superior product quality, and favorable payment terms.
- Raise, track, and diligently follow up on Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Ensure all procured items strictly adhere to industry catering hygiene standards and company specifications.
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years of proven professional experience in industrial catering procurement or a similar supply chain role.
- Strong understanding of menu planning, food costing, and recipe interpretation.
- Relevant catering or procurement certifications will be considered a strong added advantage.
- Exceptional communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail and the capacity to multitask under tight deadlines.
