We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a dynamic and results-driven Supermarket Manager to oversee daily retail operations, ensure profitability, and maintain high standards of customer satisfaction in a fast-paced supermarket environment.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee day-to-day supermarket operations, ensuring optimal store performance and efficiency.
- Manage, supervise, and mentor staff including cashiers, floor attendants, and inventory personnel.
- Drive sales growth, implement promotional activities, and ensure attractive product displays and merchandising.
- Monitor inventory levels, coordinate reorders, manage expiries, and ensure timely restocking of shelves.
- Maintain strict store cleanliness, safety compliance, and adherence to company policies.
- Prepare accurate daily and weekly sales reports while analyzing performance indicators and trends.
- Ensure seamless cash-handling procedures, financial controls, and accurate POS reconciliation.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to negotiate prices and track timely delivery of goods.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally to foster customer loyalty.
- Minimum of an OND, HND, or BSc degree in any related field.
- 2 to 5 years of proven experience in supermarket management or fast-paced retail operations.
- Strong proficiency in inventory management, retail POS systems, and sales reporting.
- Exceptional leadership, team management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service orientation.
- Basic financial knowledge regarding budgeting, cost control, and shrinkage reduction.
