About the Role
Stresert Services Limited is looking for an experienced and hands-on Supermarket Manager to lead retail operations for our esteemed client. In this role, you will take complete ownership of store performance, ensuring efficient daily operations, driving sales profitability, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and delivering a superior shopping experience for customers in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the overall daily operations of the supermarket, ensuring seamless opening, operation, and closing procedures.
- Take direct responsibility for achieving sales targets, monitoring trends, and implementing commercial strategies to increase customer traffic and revenue.
- Manage inventory from ordering to sale, applying FIFO/FEFO principles, minimizing shrinkage, and conducting regular stock reconciliations.
- Supervise frontline retail employees, managing rotational shift schedules and ensuring effective shift handovers.
- Monitor store appearance, merchandising standards, product presentation, and equipment maintenance to uphold operational excellence.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in supermarket, hypermarket, or organized retail operations management.
- Strong technical proficiency in retail management software, POS systems, inventory control, and loss prevention.
- Demonstrated ability to manage staff productivity, supplier coordination, and sales reporting in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work within a rotational shift structure covering morning and afternoon operating schedules.
