About the Role
J3 Foods and Stores International is a leading name in the Nigerian food distribution and retail sector, committed to delivering quality, affordable, and accessible food products. We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Storekeeper to oversee our inventory operations at our Oke Ado facility in Oyo. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining our high standards of stock management, accuracy, and warehouse safety. Please note that the successful applicant must be available for a mandatory 7 to 10 days of comprehensive training at our Head Office in Lagos prior to formal deployment.
Key Responsibilities- Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming food and retail stock against purchase orders to ensure accurate counts.
- Manage daily warehouse inventory levels, conducting regular stock audits and cycle counts to minimize discrepancies.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe storage areas in compliance with company health and safety guidelines.
- Keep meticulous physical and digital records of all stock movements, issuances, and returns.
- Coordinate seamlessly with the logistics and sales teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and product dispatch.
- Implement and enforce strict warehouse security protocols and inventory control procedures.
- Minimum of OND, SSCE, or equivalent qualification in a related field.
- Proven work experience as a Storekeeper, Warehouse Assistant, or in a similar inventory management role.
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in inventory management software and basic spreadsheet applications.
- Exceptional organizational skills with high attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light manual lifting as required in a warehouse environment.
- Must be willing and able to travel to Lagos for a 7 to 10-day training period before starting at the Oyo branch.
