About the Role

Siperco Nigeria Limited, a leading beauty, cosmetics, and perfume manufacturing company operating since 1981, is seeking a skilled Static Engineer to join its engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of all static equipment within the facility, including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, boilers, and piping systems, in line with industry codes and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all static equipment.
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies for static assets.
  • Conduct integrity assessments, fitness-for-service (FFS), and remaining life evaluations.
  • Review engineering drawings, P&IDs, GA drawings, isometrics, and technical specifications.
  • Monitor equipment condition and recommend corrective actions to prevent failures.
  • Participate in equipment inspections, shutdowns, turnarounds, and maintenance planning.
  • Coordinate inspection activities in accordance with Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) programs.
  • Investigate equipment failures and perform root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Review inspection reports and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with ASME, API, ASTM, NACE, and other applicable international standards.
  • Support equipment commissioning, start-up, and performance testing.
  • Evaluate repair methods for damaged equipment and ensure quality execution.
  • Review vendor documentation and provide technical support during procurement.
  • Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Process, Mechanical, and Inspection teams.
  • Prepare engineering reports, maintenance plans, and equipment performance analyses.
  • Ensure all engineering activities comply with HSE policies and statutory regulations.
  • Participate in Management of Change (MOC), HAZOP, and risk assessment activities.
  • Support plant reliability improvement initiatives and cost optimization programs.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Professional registration (COREN or equivalent) is an added advantage.
  • Membership of NSE, ASME, API, or other relevant professional bodies is desirable.
  • 5 – 10 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, LNG, Fertilizer, or Gas Processing industries.
  • Proven experience with static equipment maintenance, inspection, and reliability.
  • Experience in brownfield or greenfield projects is an added advantage.
  • Hands-on experience supporting plant shutdowns and turnarounds.
