About the Role
The Civil Society Scaling-Up Nutrition in Nigeria (CS-SUNN) invites passionate young leaders to serve as State Youth Leaders under the Youth Leaders for Nutrition (YL4N) Project. The SUN Civil Society Network Youth operates as the national youth network advancing meaningful youth engagement, leadership, and advocacy in nutrition outcomes across Nigeria. This part-time, hybrid role is designed for dynamic professionals committed to nutrition, youth development, and policy engagement while balancing other commitments.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and coordination for Youth Advocates within your assigned state
- Plan and implement state-level advocacy and community engagement activities
- Coordinate nutrition dialogues and facilitate stakeholder meetings
- Build strategic relationships with government institutions, civil society organizations, and community leaders
- Mentor and supervise Youth Advocates onboarding and development
- Monitor, document, and report on state-level activities and outcomes
- Represent the SUN-CS Youth Network Nigeria in approved state engagements
- Age: 18-30 years old with residence in applied state
- Demonstrated leadership experience in youth engagement, advocacy, public health, nutrition, or community development
- Project management and team coordination experience
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and facilitation skills
- Capacity to commit required time for part-time hybrid responsibilities
- Background in Nutrition, Public Health, Agriculture, or Development Studies (preferred)
- Previous NGO, CSO, or development partner experience (preferred)
- Lead youth-driven nutrition advocacy initiatives within your state
- Access to leadership development and capacity-building programs
- Exposure to high-level policy processes and stakeholder engagement
- Networking with national and international development partners
- Recognition as a State Youth Leader within the SUN Civil Society Youth Network
