About the Role
Jaza Energy, a pioneering last-mile energy company building solar charging stations and renting batteries in off-grid communities, is looking for a dedicated Star Development Coordinator to join our expansion team in Kaduna. In this vital role, you will champion our mission by acquiring, training, and onboarding competent local sales agents, known as Jaza Stars, who manage our hubs and deliver exceptional service to off-grid communities. You will be instrumental in positioning Jaza Energy as an employer of choice in rural areas, ensuring our workforce aligns with our community-oriented vision and growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Drive the end-to-end recruitment process by advertising open Jaza Star positions, monitoring candidate pipelines, and scheduling interviews for new expansion sites.
- Conduct thorough in-person interviews, classroom training, and on-site training to equip new recruits with the necessary skills to manage hubs successfully.
- Identify training gaps, recommend improvements to training materials, and collaborate with QA Expansion Operations to keep resources current.
- Manage comprehensive onboarding procedures, including registering new hires on the Dashboard and Star App, processing contracts, and maintaining accurate staff registries.
- Leverage local networks and community connections to source quality rural talent and build lasting trust within close-knit communities.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with proven experience in rural talent acquisition and community-based recruitment.
- Demonstrated ability to develop tailored hiring strategies and manage the full recruitment cycle in resource-limited environments.
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills with the cultural awareness to interact with diverse populations.
- Proficiency in local languages or dialects common to the Kaduna region is a significant advantage.
- High flexibility and willingness to travel frequently to remote and off-grid locations to support field operations.
