About the Role
Aster Bloom Academy, formerly known as Chuckler's Heights Montessori, is a premier private educational institution located in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. We are committed to delivering exceptional early, primary, and junior secondary education (JSS1-JSS2) to our students. As we transition to our permanent facility and expand our academic offerings, we are seeking a dedicated Special Needs Therapist to join our growing team.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized therapeutic intervention plans for students with special needs
- Conduct assessments to identify learning challenges and developmental areas requiring support
- Provide one-on-one and group therapeutic sessions using evidence-based techniques
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school leadership to ensure holistic student development
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapeutic strategies as needed
- Create an inclusive, supportive classroom environment that celebrates diversity
- Maintain detailed records and documentation of student progress and therapy outcomes
- Relevant professional qualification in Special Education, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or related field
- Demonstrated experience working with children with diverse learning needs
- Strong understanding of Montessori principles and inclusive education practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
