About the Role
District 9 Branded Residences (Velmonti Palace), Abuja's upcoming landmark ultra-luxury destination, is opening its doors for world-class hospitality talent! We are currently looking for passionate and dedicated Sous Chefs and Chefs de Partie (Station Chefs) to elevate our culinary offerings and deliver exceptional dining experiences to our esteemed guests.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, menu planning, and food preparation across various culinary stations.
- Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, taste, and hygiene are maintained at all times.
- Supervise, mentor, and train junior kitchen staff, commis, and kitchen assistants to uphold professional kitchen standards.
- Manage inventory, monitor stock levels, and minimize food waste while ensuring efficient ordering of kitchen supplies.
- Maintain compliance with all local health, safety, and sanitation regulations within the food preparation areas.
- Collaborate seamlessly with front-of-house staff to ensure prompt and flawless food service delivery during peak hours.
- Possess relevant culinary school qualifications or professional certifications in food production and kitchen management.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on culinary experience in upscale hotels, fine dining restaurants, or luxury branded residences.
- Demonstrated expertise in specific kitchen stations with a strong command of various cooking techniques and international cuisines.
- Exceptional leadership abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen hygiene, food safety standards, and HACCP protocols.
