About the Role
Good Neighbours Microfinance Bank, fully licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria, is setting the benchmark for excellence in the microfinance sector through exceptional service delivery and innovative financial solutions. We are currently looking for a dynamic and results-driven SME Officer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in expanding our small and medium enterprise portfolio, driving revenue growth, and building lasting relationships with our esteemed clients across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the SME sector to drive profitability and revenue goals.
- Develop and execute strategic marketing plans to achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of deals, ensuring effective conversion and client retention.
- Provide prompt, professional responses to customer inquiries regarding bank products and existing accounts.
- Monitor and manage existing loan portfolios rigorously to ensure timely repayments and mitigate credit risks.
- Prepare and submit accurate activity reports, including daily call reports, weekly workflows, and monthly progress plans to management.
- Perform other strategic tasks as assigned by the Team Lead to support institutional goals.
- Possession of a Bachelor Degree (B.Sc) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Marketing, Business Administration, or any relevant course of study.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven work experience in SME banking within a recognized financial institution.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully sourcing, closing business loans, and maintaining a healthy portfolio quality.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while meeting strict deadlines.
