About the Role

PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc is part of a multinational consumer goods leader manufacturing some of the best-loved household brands in Nigeria, including Imperial Leather, Cussons Baby, Morning Fresh, Thermocool, and Robb. We are currently looking for a results-driven and proactive Site Risk Manager to join our dynamic team at the Ikorodu factory site. In this critical role, you will champion our health, safety, and environmental standards, ensuring a secure and compliant working environment that protects our people, assets, and operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure continual sustenance and recertification of organizational management systems, including ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 22716, ISO 9001, and ISO 50001.
  • Monitor and communicate HSE performance indicators through comprehensive weekly and monthly reports to site management and group teams.
  • Coordinate and manage the implementation of vital HSE projects across the Ikorodu factory site.
  • Oversee timely servicing and maintenance of all fire safety infrastructure, including extinguishers, hydrants, smoke detectors, and alarm systems.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor a robust contractor management system to achieve corporate HSE targets.
  • Coordinate fire marshals, first aiders, and safety champions to ensure high operational preparedness.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, maintenance, and emergency response teams for safe execution of routine and non-routine tasks.
  • Liaise with regulatory and statutory bodies to guarantee full compliance with relevant safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications
  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Sciences, Engineering, or Risk Management.
  • NEBOSH International Certificate in Health & Safety Management.
  • Certified ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Lead Auditor.
  • Active membership in a recognized professional safety body.
  • Minimum of 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in a similar HSE role, including at least 3 years in a management capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive under pressure with excellent oral and written communication skills.
