About the Role
PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc, a leading multinational consumer goods manufacturer of beloved household brands such as Imperial Leather, Morning Fresh, and Thermocool, is seeking a dynamic and driven Site Risk Manager for our Ikorodu factory. In this critical role, you will champion our commitment to workplace safety, environmental sustainability, and operational excellence by leading comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) initiatives across the site.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the continual sustenance and recertification of management systems, including ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015, and support implementation of GMP ISO 22716, QMS ISO 9001, and EnMS ISO 50001.
- Monitor and communicate weekly and monthly HSE performance indicators to site management, engineering teams, and group HSE stakeholders.
- Coordinate and manage the implementation of vital HSE projects on the Ikorodu site.
- Oversee timely maintenance of firefighting equipment, fire alarms, and emergency response systems to guarantee operational readiness.
- Develop and implement a robust contractor management system and collaborate closely with external partners to achieve corporate HSE targets.
- Lead emergency response teams, fire marshals, and safety champions to foster a proactive safety culture across all factory operations.
- Work alongside regulatory bodies and internal engineering teams to ensure full compliance with statutory standards and safe execution of routine and non-routine jobs.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sciences, Engineering, or Risk Management.
- NEBOSH International General Certificate in Health & Safety Management.
- Certified Lead Auditor training for ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
- Active membership in a recognized safety professional body.
- 2 to 4 years of relevant HSE experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a management capacity within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
