About the Role
Starsight Energy is a leading provider of clean on-grid and off-grid power services for commercial and industrial clients across Africa, delivering smart, zero-upfront-cost energy solutions. We are currently looking for a skilled Site Engineer to join our growing operations team in Edo, Nigeria. In this role, you will manage daily operations, maintenance, and technical execution across assigned project sites, ensuring optimal system integrity, high performance, and exceptional client service delivery throughout pre-construction, construction, and post-commissioning phases.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the maintenance, testing, and repair of company-owned electrical equipment and solar energy systems.
- Conduct site assessments for new project opportunities to evaluate power availability, facility constraints, and permitting requirements.
- Ensure strict adherence to standard operating procedures, quality assurance, and health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies.
- Implement electrical designs, point-to-point wiring diagrams, and control panel configurations for solar installations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to manage operational risks, support procurement practices, and drive high-performance standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in electrical engineering and site operations.
- Strong working knowledge of renewable energy systems, specifically commercial solar installations.
- Proven technical capacity, analytical problem-solving skills, and project management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and effective communication and collaboration skills.
