About the Role
Starsight Energy is a leading provider of clean on-grid and off-grid power services to commercial and industrial clients across Africa, eliminating up-front costs to make sustainability a smart business decision. We are currently seeking a skilled Site Engineer to join our operations team in Cross River. In this role, you will manage daily operations, maintenance, and infrastructure integrity across pre-construction, construction, and post-construction phases to ensure maximum system performance and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the maintenance, testing, and repair of company-owned electrical and solar energy equipment.
- Perform site visits for new projects to evaluate power availability, utility constraints, and construction permits.
- Implement electrical design specifications, control system configurations, and point-to-point wiring diagrams.
- Ensure strict adherence to standard operating procedures and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify operational risks, mitigate potential issues, and deliver profitable projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in electrical engineering and renewable energy systems.
- Strong technical capacity, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
