About the Role
Ponticelli Nigeria, a leading provider of world-class construction and upgrade services for the oil and gas sector and a subsidiary of the renowned Ponticelli Freres Group, is seeking an experienced Shutdown Project Manager (M/F). Based in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, this technical support contract offers you the opportunity to contribute to critical energy infrastructure while working in an environment that values safety, sustainability, and employee growth.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, coordinate, and execute comprehensive shutdown projects from preparation through to completion, ensuring strict adherence to HSE standards and budgetary constraints.
- Manage operations across critical disciplines including Pressure Vessels (PVV), structural works (STR), and capacity-related equipment.
- Oversee work-pack development, fabrication works, site installation, resource allocation, and detailed project scheduling.
- Handle project coordination tasks such as progress monitoring, cost tracking, invoicing, and site mobilization or demobilization.
- Supervise subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with technical and safety requirements while managing workforce logistics.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in shutdown and project management within the oil, gas, or heavy industrial sectors.
- Proven background in maintenance, multidisciplinary projects, fabrication, and installation, with a strong understanding of PVV and structural works.
- Demonstrated expertise in project planning, scheduling, progress reporting, and project controls.
- Exceptional leadership, team management, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities under high-pressure environments.
- Full professional fluency in English with excellent organizational and cross-departmental coordination abilities.
