About the Role
Olam Agri is a market-leading, differentiated food, feed, and fibre agribusiness with a robust global footprint and a strong presence in high-growth emerging markets. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Miller to join our dynamic production team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in driving operational efficiency, maintaining superior product quality, and ensuring the seamless execution of daily milling operations during your assigned shift.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise daily milling operations to maximize plant performance, efficiency, and output targets.
- Monitor extraction levels and maintain stringent product quality as per defined parameters.
- Troubleshoot milling issues rapidly and optimize equipment performance to minimize downtime.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, hygiene, GMP, QMS, FSMS, and 5S standards.
- Control operational costs, minimize process waste, and support departmental budgeting initiatives.
- Lead, train, and manage diverse milling teams to foster a culture of operational excellence.
- Coordinate vendor services such as cleaning, waste disposal, and maintenance effectively.
- Maintain accurate shift reports, production logs, and personnel records.
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Food Science.
- NABIMS certification or Diploma in Milling from a recognized milling school is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on wheat milling and production experience.
- Proven ability to manage independent plant operations and lead multicultural teams.
- Strong technical knowledge of milling processes, equipment troubleshooting, and process optimization.
