At TeKnowledge, we turn complexity into clarity and potential into progress. We are currently looking for a Senior Security Operations Engineer to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will lead complex security investigations, drive threat hunting initiatives, and architect robust security controls across advanced cloud and hybrid environments, empowering global enterprises to operate securely and confidently.
Key Responsibilities- Lead investigations of significant cybersecurity incidents, acting as the primary technical escalation point for complex security events, containment, forensics, and recovery.
- Conduct advanced threat hunting across endpoint, cloud, identity, and network environments leveraging the MITRE ATT&CK Framework.
- Own and optimize Microsoft security services including Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender XDR, and Microsoft Entra ID Protection.
- Design, secure, and troubleshoot enterprise Azure infrastructure, Hub-and-Spoke networking, Azure Firewall, and hybrid connectivity solutions.
- Develop advanced KQL detections, custom analytics rules, and SOAR automations using Logic Apps and PowerShell.
- Mentor and coach Security Operations Engineers, driving operational excellence and adherence to zero-trust security principles.
- Bachelor Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Networking, or a related technical discipline.
- 5 to 9 years of professional experience in security operations, security engineering, or cloud security.
- Extensive hands-on expertise with Microsoft Security technologies, Azure Networking, and KQL query writing.
- Strong foundational knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewall architectures, and vulnerability management.
- Must have completed the compulsory 1-year NYSC or possess a valid exemption certificate.
- Valid National Identity Card or NIMC slip required upon commencement.
