We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team and lead our software testing efforts, ensuring our technical products consistently meet the highest standards of quality and reliability for our clients.
As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our QA strategy, mentoring team members, and collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and designers to deliver flawless technical products. Key Responsibilities- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely, meaningful feedback
- Develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality
- Monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities across projects
- Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools
- Meet with software and product designers to determine quality assurance parameters
- Track quality assurance metrics, including defect densities and open defect counts
- Lead the team in designing QA test procedures and oversee testing documentation
- Implement testing procedures and oversee the overall QA process
- Troubleshoot quality issues and modify test procedures as needed
- Conduct analysis checks on product specifications and QA reports
- Ensure successful deployment of products to end-users
- Identify, record, document, and track bugs, and perform thorough regression testing
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
- Liaise with internal teams to identify system requirements
- Investigate causes of non-conforming software and train users on solutions
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools, trends, and strategies
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in a quality assurance role within a fast-paced, evolving business environment
- Proven experience in database testing using SQL, including test data design, manipulation, and validation of stored testing procedures
- Experience working with various QA tools, including bug and defect tracking systems
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Working knowledge of Java and Python scripting languages
- Strong analytical and high-level problem-solving skills, with proven project management ability
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- Critical thinker with excellent attention to detail
- Experience writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
- Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
- Experience working within an Agile/Scrum development process
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is an added advantage
