About the Role
Fort Knox Group is a leading diversified security and financial services organization operating across West Africa from our headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria. Backed by decades of global excellence in security, intelligence, and corporate operations, we are currently expanding our engineering team and seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer. In this role, you will take ownership of our enterprise-grade network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, robust security, and seamless connectivity to support our critical regional operations.
Key Responsibilities- Design, configure, implement, and maintain complex LAN, WAN, WLAN, IP/MPLS, and network infrastructure across the organization.
- Provide advanced hands-on support for routing and switching protocols including BGP, OSPF, MPLS/VPLS, VPN, DMVPN, SDN, QoS, VRRP/HSRP, and VoIP.
- Troubleshoot network failures, performance bottlenecks, and connectivity issues proactively and reactively.
- Configure and manage VLANs, STP/RSTP, EtherChannel, trunking, port security, IPSec, and GRE tunnelling.
- Develop network automation tools to improve operational efficiency and support cloud, security, SD-WAN, and IoT digital initiatives.
- Participate in on-call support rotations and travel as required to support regional operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7 to 10 years of relevant professional experience managing and troubleshooting enterprise IP networks.
- Demonstrated expertise working with Cisco, Juniper, Fortigate, and Bluecoat technologies.
- Valid professional certifications such as CCNA or CCNP are required.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
