About the Role
Hyde Energy Limited is a dynamic global energy trading and downstream company committed to operational excellence and industry-leading standards. We are currently looking for a diligent and experienced Senior Mechanical Inspector (Offshore) to join our growing team in Nigeria. In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the structural integrity, safety, and operational reliability of our offshore and onshore energy assets by enforcing rigorous quality assurance and quality control protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and oversee all onshore fabrication and offshore installation activities to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Witness critical mechanical operations including welding, NDT, PWHT, coating, pressure testing, and dimensional control.
- Inspect incoming materials, issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when necessary, and accurately sign off Inspection Test Records (ITRs).
- Prepare comprehensive daily inspection logs and detailed QAQC reports for project stakeholders.
- Maintain strict adherence to Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) policies while working with minimal supervision in demanding offshore environments.
- Valid BOSIET, HUET/OSP, and offshore medical fitness certificates.
- Relevant professional certifications such as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, CSWIP III, NDT Level II, or CSWIP Plant Inspection.
- Thorough working knowledge of international codes and standards including ISO, API, DNV, and ASME.
- Strong commitment to HSSE awareness with proven ability to operate independently in offshore settings.
