About the Role
Golden Oil Industries Limited has been a trusted household name in Nigeria's edible oil industry since 1988, dedicated to providing healthy cooking oils and quality animal feed ingredients. We are currently looking for a strategic and results-driven Senior Manager Sourcing & Procurement to join our dynamic team in Owo, Ondo State. In this leadership position, you will play a pivotal role in driving our agricultural supply chain operations, optimizing supplier relationships, and ensuring the uninterrupted delivery of top-grade Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) to our processing mills.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) sourcing strategies to guarantee a steady, cost-effective, and high-quality raw material supply for our palm oil mills.
- Identify, evaluate, onboard, and manage external FFB suppliers, including large plantations, independent estates, aggregators, and smallholder networks.
- Lead complex commercial negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, reliable delivery schedules, and mutually beneficial long-term contracts.
- Monitor market trends, agricultural commodity pricing, and supply chain risks, implementing proactive mitigation measures to protect company interests.
- Collaborate closely with mill operations, quality assurance, and finance teams to streamline procurement processes and maintain stringent quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, industry best practices, and sustainability guidelines across all sourcing operations.
- Mentor, manage, and develop the procurement team to foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Relevant professional certification in procurement, supply chain, or agricultural management is a strong added advantage.
- 8 to 12 years of progressive professional experience, with specialized expertise in FFB sourcing, palm oil production, agricultural commodities, or plantation operations.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years holding a senior management or leadership position within sourcing and procurement.
- Deep, comprehensive knowledge of the Nigerian palm oil value chain and the FFB procurement ecosystem.
- Proven track record in managing external supplier relationships and negotiating high-value commercial agreements successfully.
