Mountain Top University (MTU) is seeking a dynamic, academically rigorous, and morally grounded professional to join our esteemed faculty as a Senior Lecturer in Nutrition and Dietetics. In this vital role, you will contribute to our mission of producing globally competitive, top-rate graduates by delivering engaging lectures, leading cutting-edge research, and mentoring the next generation of nutrition and dietetic professionals in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Human Nutrition and Dietetics in accordance with university standards.
- Design, update, and implement innovative curriculum content that aligns with modern nutritional science and national health priorities.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, dissertations, and academic theses.
- Conduct high-quality research, publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals, and actively participate in academic conferences.
- Provide academic advising, career guidance, and pastoral mentorship to students to foster holistic development.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, administrative duties, and community engagement initiatives.
- Hold a Ph.D. in Human Nutrition, Dietetics, or a closely related academic discipline.
- Demonstrate a strong, verifiable record of scholarly publications in reputable local and international journals.
- Possess a minimum of 6 years of combined teaching and research experience in a recognized tertiary institution.
- Must have served at least 3 years as a Lecturer I or in an equivalent academic position.
