We are currently seeking a meticulous and results-driven Senior Internal Control Officer to strengthen our operational integrity. In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in safeguarding company assets, minimizing waste, and ensuring compliance across all production and supply chain departments.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and monitor robust internal control systems across production, stores, warehouse, procurement, and sales departments.
- Conduct routine internal control reviews, operational audits, and compliance checks to prevent potential fraud and operational losses.
- Monitor raw material usage, production output, work-in-progress, and finished goods to identify and investigate unexplained variances.
- Reconcile physical inventory with stock records, production reports, and dispatch documentation.
- Review production records and procurement transactions for accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- Prepare comprehensive, evidence-based reports detailing findings, risks, and actionable recommendations for management.
- Advise leadership on strategies to improve cost control, operational efficiency, and overall accountability.
- B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant internal control, internal audit, or risk management experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong practical knowledge of inventory control, stock reconciliation, and operational loss prevention.
- Exceptional analytical, investigative, numerical, and report-writing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and management reporting.
- Relevant professional certifications such as ICAN, ACCA, CIA, or CISA are a distinct advantage.
