We seek a UX-focused Full-Stack Engineer with substantial frontend expertise to architect and develop the visual layer that merchants depend on. Your work will directly impact how thousands of businesses across Africa accept payments, making performance and user experience paramount. Understanding that milliseconds matter in checkout conversion, you'll champion accessibility, speed, and intuitive design at every stage.
Key Responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain the core Merchant Dashboard with analytics, settings, and balance management features
- Develop and optimize the Checkout Modal, JS SDK, Payment Links, and Invoicing systems for maximum performance
- Create intuitive, accessible, and responsive user interfaces that drive merchant conversion
- Implement performance optimization strategies ensuring lightning-fast load times and seamless checkout experiences
- Collaborate with Product and Design teams to translate user feedback into engineering solutions
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code across full-stack components
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field
- 5-9 years of software engineering experience with primary focus on React or Vue frameworks
- Strong full-stack capabilities with emphasis on creating exceptional user experiences
- Deep knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and implementation best practices
- Demonstrated experience optimizing web performance and improving conversion metrics
- Proven success building scalable dashboards, checkout flows, or SDKs
- Product-minded engineering approach with high user empathy
