About the Role
Givanas Cosmetics Nig Ltd, a research-driven cosmetic manufacturing company known for delivering high-quality, affordable personal care products, is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Accountant to join our finance team. This role is critical to ensuring accurate cost control, driving efficiency, and supporting strategic financial decisions across our production and supply chain operations.
As a Senior Cost Accountant, you will play a key role in analyzing production costs, maintaining cost databases, and identifying opportunities for cost optimization. You will work closely with production, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure that cost data is accurate, insightful, and actionable, supporting the company's continued growth and competitiveness in the personal care industry.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze production costs and identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for savings.
- Maintain and update the Bill of Materials (BOM) and standard cost database.
- Conduct variance analysis to compare actual costs against standard costs.
- Perform periodic cost audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process with reliable cost data.
- Collaborate with production and supply chain teams to design and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Prepare detailed cost reports and present findings to management.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all cost-related data.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes related to cost accounting.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance cost efficiency across departments.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 4 - 6 years of cost accounting experience, preferably within the FMCG or manufacturing sector.
- Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA is an added advantage.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work with large data sets.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing cost structures and inventory valuation methods.
