Reliance HMO is transforming health insurance through innovative technology, data science, and telemedicine. We're seeking a Senior Associate Pharmacist to lead our pharmacy operations, combining clinical expertise with operational leadership to deliver safe, efficient, and patient-centered care.
This role offers a unique opportunity to impact healthcare delivery at scale, managing one or more Relarex pharmacy locations while supervising Associate Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians. You'll ensure medication safety, accuracy, and timely dispensing while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities- Review, prepare, and dispense prescriptions safely, accurately, and on schedule
- Provide comprehensive medication counselling and resolve complex medication-related issues
- Supervise, coach, and develop Associate Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians
- Monitor pharmacy performance metrics including accuracy, turnaround time, and patient satisfaction
- Ensure full compliance with Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN) regulations and company policies
- Conduct quality audits, investigate incidents, and implement corrective actions
- Manage medicine inventory, stock control, and minimize waste
- Analyze performance data and implement operational improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—doctors, nurses, operations, customer care, technology, and logistics—to enhance pharmacy services
- Maintain accurate documentation of prescriptions, errors, adverse events, and pharmacy records
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution
- Current active license and PCN registration
- NYSC completion or valid exemption certificate
- 3–5 years post-NYSC pharmacy experience, with at least 2 years in clinic, hospital, community, retail, or digital pharmacy settings
- Strong clinical knowledge and medication counselling expertise
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with pharmacy systems, EMR platforms, and data analytics
- Preferred: Experience in digital health, telemedicine, PBM, or health insurance environments
