About the Role
Dangote Group, Africa's leading diversified business conglomerate, is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sectional Head, Electrical to join our esteemed team at Dangote Cement Plc. In this critical leadership role, you will be responsible for the comprehensive electrical maintenance of all plant operations ranging from LS Crushers to packing plants, ensuring maximum uptime, safety compliance, and cost-effective resource utilization.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement robust short- and long-term maintenance strategies and programs for all section equipment.
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and installation activities of plant equipment, facilities, and critical production machinery.
- Manage spares, inventory, and maintenance planning for shutdown preparations for crushers, stackers, reclaimers, and raw mills.
- Enforce strict occupational health, safety rules, and environmental regulations across all operational activities.
- Supervise on-site contractors to ensure strict adherence to legal and company standards.
- Lead, mentor, and provide expert technical training to technical staff to drive operational excellence.
- Evaluate recurring technical issues and implement permanent, data-driven solutions to minimize breakdowns.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- A minimum of twenty (20) years of extensive post-qualification electrical engineering experience, preferably within the cement or heavy manufacturing sector.
- Expert knowledge of maintenance management methods, predictive inspection tools, and Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Solid understanding of cement manufacturing processes, inventory management, and TPM.
- Comprehensive knowledge of local and international safety legislation, quality, and environmental standards.
