About the Role
Barachel School is a well-established educational institution catering to both day and boarding students, dedicated to nurturing the special qualities of every pupil. We are currently seeking a compassionate, vigilant, and qualified School Auxiliary Nurse to join our dedicated medical team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for delivering prompt first aid, managing minor ailments, promoting wellness, and maintaining accurate health records for students, ensuring a safe and nurturing learning environment that aligns with our high standards of care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide immediate first aid and emergency care to students and staff who fall ill or sustain injuries during school hours.
- Administer prescribed medications to students following established school health protocols and parental consent guidelines.
- Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked sick bays for both day and boarding students.
- Keep accurate and confidential medical records for all student visits, treatments, and ongoing health conditions.
- Conduct routine health screenings, hygiene checks, and promote health education campaigns across the school community.
- Collaborate closely with school management, teachers, and parents regarding student health concerns and emergency responses.
- Must possess relevant nursing qualifications from a recognized institution (RN, RM, or equivalent auxiliary nursing certification).
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience, preferably within a school, clinic, or pediatric healthcare setting.
- Current and valid practicing license where applicable.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and empathy skills when dealing with children and teenagers.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and calmness under pressure during medical emergencies.
- Basic computer literacy for maintaining digital health records and reporting.
