About the Role
We are looking for dynamic and customer-focused Sales Persons and a Supervisor to join our high-traffic tailoring supply store located in Ilorin. In this role, you will play a vital part in driving daily sales operations, assisting customers with a wide variety of garment-making materials, and maintaining an organized, welcoming retail environment. If you possess a strong background in retail, thrive in a bustling marketplace, and are comfortable utilizing digital tools for daily transactions and inventory tracking, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities- Greet and welcome every customer warmly, offering expert advice on tailoring supplies, fabrics, and accessories.
- Process sales transactions accurately using computerized point-of-sale systems and issue receipts.
- Maintain organized and well-stocked store shelves, displays, and storage areas to ensure seamless shopping experiences.
- Monitor stock levels, report inventory needs, and assist with periodic stock audits.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints professionally, and building repeat clientele.
- Supervise daily store floor activities and support team members (for supervisor applicants).
- Ensure the store premises remain clean, secure, and professionally presented throughout business hours.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven retail sales experience, preferably within a textile, fashion, or craft supply setting.
- Strong computer literacy, including familiarity with POS systems, basic spreadsheets, and digital inventory tools.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills in English and local languages.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and manage a fast-paced, high-traffic retail environment.
- Possess a proactive attitude, high integrity, and a passion for the tailoring and fashion industry.
- Residency in or readiness to commute to Ilorin, Kwara State.
