About the Role

Ubereness Nigeria Limited, a leading food and beverage manufacturer established in 2016, is seeking a dedicated Regulatory Affairs Specialist to ensure our Ibadan-based facility operates in full compliance with all local, national, and international food safety regulations. As part of our parent company Givanas' portfolio, we distribute premium brands including Milk Quick, Foremost, Costa, and Aquaness across West Africa's 15+ countries. This is a pivotal role for ensuring operational excellence and regulatory adherence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor, interpret, and implement food safety laws, regulations, and standards including HACCP, ISO 22000, and NAFDAC requirements
  • Develop, implement, and update compliance policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Conduct internal audits and inspections of production, storage, and distribution processes
  • Prepare and submit regulatory documentation, permits, and license applications to government agencies
  • Investigate compliance breaches and implement preventive corrective actions
  • Assess food safety risks related to labeling, packaging, and distribution
  • Train production and operational staff on regulatory requirements and compliance protocols
  • Liaise with NAFDAC, SON, and external auditors during inspections and certifications
  • Collaborate with production, quality assurance, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure supplier compliance
  • Maintain comprehensive compliance records and report regulatory status to management

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in food manufacturing compliance or regulatory affairs
  • Professional certifications such as HACCP or ISO 22000
  • Proven experience liaising with NAFDAC and SON regulatory agencies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong analytical, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Based in Ibadan with willingness to travel to Lagos for official assignments
