About the Role
Lily Hospitals Limited, a leading multi-specialty private healthcare provider established in 1984, is looking for a dedicated Registered Midwife to join our maternity team. In this role, you will provide exceptional, woman-centred care, guiding mothers and their families through pregnancy, labour, and the postnatal period while collaborating closely with obstetricians and pediatric specialists to ensure safe, positive birth experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver individualised, respectful midwifery care throughout antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal stages.
- Monitor maternal and fetal wellbeing, conducting accurate clinical assessments and identifying escalation needs promptly.
- Support spontaneous vaginal births, monitor labour progression, and respond effectively to obstetric emergencies.
- Provide immediate newborn care, infant-feeding guidance, and comprehensive postnatal recovery checks.
- Maintain confidential, accurate clinical records in compliance with hospital protocols and infection-prevention standards.
- Collaborate seamlessly with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate patient-centred care.
- Current professional registration as a midwife with the relevant regulatory body in Nigeria.
- A recognised qualification in midwifery.
- Demonstrated recent clinical experience in a hospital or established maternity care setting.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills under pressure.
- Current life-support certification or willingness to complete mandatory training.
