About the Role
Moniepoint is a leading financial technology company digitising Africa's real economy by building a robust financial ecosystem for businesses. We are looking for a Regional Security Lead (South East) to oversee physical security operations, protect our people and assets, and ensure our offices remain safe environments where our teams can thrive without worry.
As the guardian of our regional operations, you will lead on-ground security teams, build strong relationships with law enforcement, and proactively identify and mitigate risks before they become incidents. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who combines strategic thinking with calm, decisive action under pressure.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the implementation of security policies that protect our team, offices, and equipment across the region
- Conduct regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and design strategies to reduce risk
- Supervise and mentor private security guards and armed police personnel to ensure professional, respectful service delivery
- Act as the primary liaison with law enforcement and emergency services during critical incidents
- Lead investigations into security breaches and accidents, providing clear, factual reports for organisational learning
- Design and deliver training programs that equip security personnel and employees with life-saving protocols
- Stay ahead of security trends and technologies, including CCTV and access control systems, to keep operations modern and resilient
- Provide expert guidance on asset recovery and fraud investigation when required
- At least 5 years of experience leading a security team in a guard services/physical security company, or 5 years as an ex-commissioned service supervisor in the military, police, or paramilitary
- Bachelor's degree in Criminology, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or a related field
- Recognized security certification such as CPP, PSP, or CPO
- Clean criminal record and ability to pass a comprehensive background check
- Fluency in local dialects of the major tribes within the assigned region
- Experience working with automated security systems such as CCTV cameras and burglary alarm systems
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust across all levels of the organisation
