About the Role
Moniepoint is a financial technology company digitising Africa's real economy by building a financial ecosystem for businesses, providing them with all the payment, banking, credit and business management tools they need to succeed. As Regional Security Lead for the North West, you will serve as the guardian of our physical spaces, ensuring every Moniepoint office remains a secure environment where our team can work, build, and innovate without worry.
By leading regional security operations, managing on-ground teams, and proactively identifying risks, you will provide the stability and safety that allows financial happiness to thrive. This role goes beyond incident response; you will design and implement the systems and strategies that prevent security threats before they occur.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the implementation of security policies that protect our people, offices, and equipment across your region.
- Conduct regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and design innovative risk-reduction strategies.
- Supervise and mentor private security guards and armed police personnel, ensuring professional and respectful conduct at all times.
- Act as the primary liaison with law enforcement and emergency services, ensuring strong working relationships during emergencies.
- Lead investigations into security breaches and accidents, delivering clear, factual reports that drive continuous improvement.
- Design and deliver training programs equipping security personnel and employees with life-saving protocols.
- Stay ahead of emerging security trends and technologies, including CCTV and access control systems, to keep regional operations modern and resilient.
- Provide expert guidance on asset recovery and fraud investigation as needed by the business.
- At least 5 years of experience leading a security team within a guard services/physical security company, or 5 years as a commissioned service personnel supervisor in the military, police, or paramilitary.
- A Bachelor's degree in Criminology, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
- A recognized security certification such as CPP, PSP, or CPO.
- A clean criminal record and the ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
- Fluency in the local dialects of major tribes within the assigned region.
- Practical experience working with automated security systems, including CCTV cameras and burglary alarm systems.
- A proactive, composed, and relatable approach, with the ability to communicate clearly and build trust across all levels of the organisation.
