About the Role
The Katsina State Government is seeking a dedicated and professional Radiographer to join our healthcare team within KTHSMB facilities. In this vital role, you will perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures to assist medical practitioners in accurate patient diagnosis and treatment planning. You will operate advanced medical imaging equipment while strictly maintaining radiation safety protocols and delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in one of Nigeria's most peaceful states.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-ray, CT scans, and ultrasounds as requested by medical staff.
- Prepare and position patients properly for imaging, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and safety throughout the process.
- Operate, troubleshoot, and routinely maintain radiographic equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Ensure strict compliance with national and institutional radiation protection and safety standards.
- Review imaging results for quality, accuracy, and clarity before forwarding them to attending physicians.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient imaging records, documentation, and digital archives.
- Collaborate closely with doctors and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support effective patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Monitor equipment performance, report faults promptly, and coordinate necessary maintenance services.
- Educate patients regarding procedural steps, safety measures, and post-imaging instructions.
- Bachelor Degree in Radiography or Medical Imaging from a recognized institution.
- Mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Discharge or Exemption Certificate.
- Valid professional practice license and registration with the relevant regulatory body in Nigeria.
- Strong technical knowledge of modern diagnostic imaging techniques and equipment.
