About the Role

Jamub Group is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team in Abuja. As a conglomerate with interests spanning multiple industries, we deliver value-driven solutions across Business to Business (B2B), Business to Government (B2G), and Business to Consumer (B2C) segments. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cost management and project delivery within a dynamic, non-cyclical organisation.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate cost estimation and effective financial control throughout the lifecycle of our projects. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that construction and infrastructure projects are delivered within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labour, and project execution.
  • Develop and manage Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for various project types.
  • Conduct accurate measurement of works to support project cost control.
  • Assist in monitoring project budgets and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Support procurement processes by providing cost analysis and pricing data.
  • Collaborate with project teams to track expenditures against approved budgets.
  • Maintain proper documentation of cost reports, valuations, and project records.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and company cost control policies.

Qualifications
  • B.Sc. or HND in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of relevant work experience in quantity surveying or cost management.
  • Strong understanding of cost estimation, measurement techniques, and BOQ preparation.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, or similar).
  • Good analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with accuracy under deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced, multi-sector organisation.
