About the Role
FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria PLC, an affiliate of Royal FrieslandCampina of The Netherlands, is the world's leading dairy cooperative and a household name in Nigeria. We are currently looking for a dedicated and results-driven Quality Assurance Manager - Customer Supply Chain to join our team at our headquarters in Ikeja, Lagos. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring uncompromising quality and food safety compliance across our extensive logistics, warehousing, distribution networks, and trade channels spanning the entire country.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure Customer Supply Chain and Commercial processes fully comply with internal quality standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct comprehensive distributor, warehouse, and market audits to proactively identify risks and reduce product returns, damages, and losses.
- Manage end-to-end complaint handling processes, execute root cause investigations, and drive robust corrective and preventive actions.
- Oversee third-party quality management by auditing outsourced partners and logistics providers to guarantee adherence to FrieslandCampina standards.
- Participate in new product development and commercialization projects to assess and mitigate food safety risks early in the implementation stage.
- Coordinate crisis management preparedness, facilitate training, and execute mock exercises to ensure swift incident response.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain by leveraging operational data, trend analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years of solid experience in Quality Assurance, Food Safety, Supply Chain Quality, or FMCG manufacturing.
- Deep working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, Food Safety Management Systems, and professional quality auditing.
- Proven hands-on experience in warehousing, logistics, distributor quality management, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a track record in root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Prior experience with SAP and Power BI is a distinct advantage.
