About the Role
OptiSoft Technology Company Ltd, a leading software development company in Nigeria, is looking for a skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is critical to ensuring that our custom software, ecommerce platforms, web applications, mobile apps, and workflow automation solutions meet the highest standards of functionality, performance, and reliability before reaching our clients.
As a QA Engineer, you will work closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to design and execute comprehensive test plans, identify defects, and ensure seamless user experiences across all our software products. Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web, mobile, and enterprise applications
- Perform manual and automated testing to identify bugs, inconsistencies, and performance issues
- Collaborate with development teams to understand product requirements and ensure test coverage aligns with business needs
- Document, track, and report software defects using bug tracking tools, ensuring timely resolution
- Conduct regression testing to confirm that new updates do not negatively affect existing functionalities
- Participate in requirement analysis and provide feedback on usability, functionality, and quality standards
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance policies, procedures, and industry best practices
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes
- Prepare comprehensive QA reports and provide recommendations for product quality improvement
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer, Software Tester, or similar role
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Hands-on experience with manual and automated testing techniques
- Familiarity with test management tools such as Selenium, JIRA, TestRail, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman is an added advantage
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify issues quickly and accurately
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
