About the Role
Shakti Industries Limited, Nigeria's premier large-scale blown film manufacturer and PET preform producer with a two-decade legacy of excellence, is looking for a dedicated Quality Control (QC Officer) to join our growing team. In this vital role, you will uphold our reputation for delivering superior packaging materials to over 64 industries nationwide by enforcing stringent quality protocols across all production stages.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect incoming raw materials including LDPE, LLDPE, HDPE, masterbatches, and adhesives against approved industry specifications.
- Conduct rigorous in-process quality checks across extrusion, printing, lamination, slitting, and cutting operations to monitor micron thickness, width, and color consistency.
- Perform comprehensive final product testing for tensile strength, heat seal integrity, and puncture resistance prior to dispatch.
- Maintain accurate daily quality records, manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and participate in root cause analysis for any production defects.
- Ensure strict compliance with Quality Management Systems, including ISO 9001:2015 and food packaging safety requirements like GMP.
- Collaborate closely with production supervisors and machine operators to promote continuous improvement and reduce manufacturing waste.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Chemistry, Polymer Technology, Industrial Chemistry, or a related science discipline.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of hands-on quality control experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably in flexible packaging or plastics.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and quality audit processes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical specifications and operate testing equipment.
