About the Role
WEAFRI Well Services Co. Limited is a leading international oil and gas well services provider operating globally, in Asia, and East Africa since 1988. We are currently seeking a highly qualified QA/QC Officer to drive our quality assurance and control processes across ongoing projects. In this vital role, you will ensure operational excellence and safety by enforcing strict quality management systems (QMS), inspecting equipment, and verifying compliance with international engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and maintain QMS processes in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 standards and manage continuous improvement efforts.
- Apply sound knowledge of API Specification Q1 and Q2, including process control, risk assessment, and management of change.
- Ensure certification and calibration of all equipment, maintaining accurate records in line with industry regulations.
- Coordinate welding procedures (WPS/PQR), monitor welder qualifications, and oversee Non-Destructive Testing (NDT/NDE) in liaison with supervisors.
- Coordinate quality management system audits and recommend actionable plans for management implementation and corrective actions.
- Identify defects, issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), manage root-cause investigations, and track CAPA closeouts.
- Compile, review, and sign off on purchased products and services while leading regular site and vendor shop quality audits.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive inspection reports and turnover documentation.
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Engineering or Physical Sciences.
- Minimum of 4 to 6 years of progressive QA/QC experience within the oil and gas services sector.
- Relevant certifications such as ASNT Level II, CSWIP, AWS, or NACE/FROSIO are a distinct advantage.
- Deep understanding of QMS (ISO 9001), welding metallurgy, coating, and NDT methods.
- Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills with proficiency in MS Office and quality tracking software.
