About the Role
Monarch Techno Engineering Solutions (MTES) is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QA/QC Inspector to join our growing team of engineering professionals. This role is ideal for an experienced inspector with a strong background in welding inspection, quality assurance, and quality control within the Oil & Gas and Pipeline sectors, who is passionate about maintaining the highest standards of safety, precision, and compliance on every project.
As a QA/QC Inspector at MTES, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all engineering and construction activities meet international codes and client specifications. You will work closely with project engineers, welders, and site supervisors to uphold quality standards from inspection planning through to final documentation and reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, review, and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) for ongoing projects
- Conduct welding inspections and verify compliance with SMAW/GTAW welding processes
- Perform dimensional checks, visual inspections, and quality control assessments
- Review and interpret welding procedures, WPS, and PQR documentation
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards including ASME, API, and ISO
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and quality documentation
- Coordinate with NDT personnel and review NDT reports for accuracy and compliance
- Monitor project sites to ensure adherence to established QA/QC procedures and safety standards
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and third-party inspectors during audits and inspections
- Support continuous improvement of quality control processes across projects
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred)
- 5–10+ years of QA/QC experience in Oil & Gas or Pipeline projects
- Proven hands-on experience with SMAW and GTAW welding processes
- Mandatory certification: CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2
- Preferred certifications: ASNT NDT Level II, API 570 / API 1104
- Strong knowledge of Inspection and Test Plans (ITP)
- Excellent understanding of welding inspection and documentation practices
- Proficiency in dimensional checks and technical reporting
- Solid working knowledge of ASME, API, and ISO codes and standards
