About the Role
Ellasot Consulting is recruiting on behalf of a reputable organization for an energetic and strategic Purchasing Officer to oversee procurement functions. The successful candidate will drive value by sourcing reliable suppliers, securing competitive pricing, and ensuring the timely delivery of quality materials to support operational success.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, evaluate, and source reliable vendors and suppliers.
- Obtain and analyze quotations to ensure competitive pricing and maximum value.
- Negotiate favorable prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare, authorize, and track purchase orders efficiently.
- Monitor order fulfillment and follow up with suppliers to prevent delays.
- Inspect delivered goods to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of purchases, invoices, and delivery notes.
- Build and maintain strong, mutually beneficial relationships with key suppliers.
- Collaborate with internal departments to monitor inventory levels and identify restocking needs.
- Resolve issues related to damaged goods, incorrect orders, and shipping delays.
- Prepare periodic procurement reports and recommend viable cost-saving strategies.
- Minimum of an OND or HND in Purchasing and Supply, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Previous proven experience in a purchasing, procurement, or supply chain role.
- Strong working knowledge of vendor sourcing and negotiation techniques.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general office software.
- Exceptional analytical, numerical, and record-keeping abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
