About the Role
Misters of Nigeria, a premier Lagos-based male pageant platform, is looking for a dynamic Public Relations (PR) Executive to join its growing team. This role is ideal for a communications professional passionate about brand storytelling, media engagement, and reputation management within the entertainment and lifestyle industry.
As a PR Executive, you will play a key role in shaping how Misters of Nigeria is perceived by the public, media, and stakeholders. You will help strengthen the brand's positioning as one of the country's most respected male pageant platforms, following its recognition as "Best Male Pageant Brand of the Year" at the 2024 Eko Heritage Awards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective public relations strategies to enhance brand visibility
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media houses, journalists, and influencers
- Draft press releases, media statements, and promotional content for various platforms
- Coordinate press coverage for events, pageant activities, and brand milestones
- Monitor media coverage and manage the organization's public image and reputation
- Collaborate with the marketing and social media teams to ensure consistent brand messaging
- Organize press conferences, interviews, and media engagements as required
- Handle crisis communication and respond promptly to public inquiries or media issues
- Track and report on the effectiveness of PR campaigns and media outreach efforts
- A degree in Public Relations, Mass Communication, Journalism, or a related field
- Proven experience in public relations, media relations, or corporate communications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong network within Nigerian media and entertainment circles is an advantage
- Creative thinking with the ability to craft compelling brand narratives
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in using social media and digital communication tools
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
