About the Role
Baker Hughes is a global energy technology company taking energy forward for humanity. We are currently looking for a dedicated Project and Planning Management Specialist to join our subsea productions team in Onne, Rivers State, Nigeria. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless execution of complex oil and gas projects by maintaining rigorous schedule management, providing strategic foresight, and collaborating closely with cross-functional execution teams.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee overall project schedule management, ensuring logic, clarity, accuracy of dates, progress, and scope definition.
- Collaborate with product line planners, engineering planners, and execution functions including procurement, manufacturing, and logistics.
- Serve as the strategic right-hand to the Project Manager, providing visibility on 3 to 6-week lookaheads, schedule risks, and mitigation actions.
- Generate comprehensive project reports to equip management with tools for on-time and on-budget execution.
- Interact with internal and external customers to provide schedule updates and discuss project challenges and opportunities.
- Drive the implementation of integrated project planning initiatives and adhere to approved company processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a project planner or manager, ideally within the subsea industry or large-scale mechanical manufacturing.
- Demonstrated expertise in utilizing the Primavera P6 planning tool.
- Strong ability to connect project schedules to on-the-ground execution realities, identifying risks and driving proactive solutions.
