About the Role

Monarch Techno Engineering Solutions (MTES) is looking for a highly skilled Project Planners / Controls Engineer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional with extensive experience in project planning, controls and coordination within the Oil & Gas, EPC, and Pipeline industries. You will play a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, monitor and update project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project
  • Coordinate project planning, execution, monitoring and reporting activities across all phases
  • Manage contractors, vendors and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Track project progress, identify schedule variances and recommend corrective actions
  • Oversee material and logistics coordination to support uninterrupted project execution
  • Implement and maintain document control systems, including EDMS platforms
  • Support cost control processes and prepare accurate progress and cost reports
  • Liaise with stakeholders, contractors and site teams to ensure alignment on project goals
  • Ensure all site activities comply with safety, quality and regulatory standards
  • Provide regular status updates and reports to project management and leadership
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in project management and controls within Oil & Gas, EPC or Pipeline projects
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical, Civil, Industrial Engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience in onshore or offshore pipeline, plant or infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of project execution, monitoring, reporting and site coordination
  • Demonstrated experience managing contractors, vendors and multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and project controls/scheduling tools
  • Familiarity with cost control, reporting, and document control systems (e.g., EDMS)
  • Strong stakeholder and contractor management capabilities
