About the Role
Rivy (formerly Payhippo) is on a mission to make financial services seamless for African SMEs. We are seeking a driven Product Manager to identify critical business bottlenecks, prioritize high-impact solutions, and collaborate closely with our engineering teams to ship exceptional products. In this role, you will own the entire product lifecycle—from conducting user research and writing precise specifications to driving delivery and measuring post-launch success across both customer-facing applications and powerful internal tools.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct immersive research with internal operations, sales, and credit teams, as well as external customers and installers to uncover pain points.
- Translate complex business challenges into clear problem statements, actionable priorities, and comprehensive product specs using tools like Jira or Linear.
- Extract and analyze loan, payment, and funnel data independently using SQL to drive data-informed product decisions.
- Partner directly with engineers to manage weekly delivery sprints and ensure timely, high-quality product rollouts.
- Define clear success metrics prior to launch and conduct thorough post-launch evaluations to measure impact.
- Minimum of 3 years of product management experience with a proven track record of shipping impactful products.
- Demonstrated ability to start from core user or business problems rather than mere feature requests.
- Proficiency in SQL with the ability to draw actionable conclusions from complex, messy data sets.
- Deep understanding of the Nigerian consumer behavior regarding buying, borrowing, and payments.
- Prior experience in lending, fintech, energy sectors, or building products for internal operations teams is a strong plus.
