About the Role
Chowdeck is a fast-growing technology company providing seamless logistics services to vendors and consumers across vibrant African cities. We are looking for a strategic and analytical Product Lead, Trust and Compliance to own the product systems behind KYC, fraud detection, investigation, and containment across our entire ecosystem of customers, vendors, riders, agents, wallets, and payments. In this vital role, you will harmonize our safety protocols into a unified product strategy that closes loopholes and stops fraud quickly without introducing unnecessary friction for legitimate users. You will report directly to the Product Executive, working closely with engineering, legal, regulatory, and financial-risk teams to ensure our platform remains secure, scalable, and fully compliant.
Key Responsibilities- Own KYC product journeys and verification coverage for customers, vendors, riders, and agents.
- Drive the product strategy and roadmap for fraud visibility, case records, monitoring signals, and automated containment capabilities.
- Partner with engineering and data teams to translate known fraud patterns into proactive alerts and validated automated controls.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external financial partners to improve account freezes, payout holds, and recovery processes.
- Ensure investigators have secure access to necessary evidence while maintaining strict data privacy compliance.
- Coordinate root-cause fixes across product areas and manage trust and readiness for new market expansions.
- Minimum of 6 years of product management experience, with a strong focus on fintech, payments, identity, fraud, risk, or compliance.
- Proven track record of turning complex risk and regulatory requirements into user-friendly product experiences and operational processes.
- Exceptional judgment in balancing fraud prevention, operational workload, financial exposure, and legitimate user experience.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, data science, and cross-functional stakeholders.
