About the Role

Moniepoint Inc. is a leading financial technology company digitising Africa's real economy by building a comprehensive financial ecosystem for businesses, offering payment, banking, credit, and business management solutions. We are seeking a detail-oriented Product Auditor to provide independent assurance over the design, implementation, and operating effectiveness of product controls across our payment, wallet, settlement, and switching platforms, ensuring our products scale safely and securely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a risk-ranked Product Audit Universe and own the annual Product Audit Plan across all payment products and integrations
  • Review PRDs, business rules, and transaction workflows to identify logic gaps and unmitigated risks before go-live
  • Conduct continuous audit reviews of live products to detect configuration drift and emerging risk patterns
  • Execute mandatory pre-production audit reviews as an independent control gate for material releases
  • Use SQL to interrogate the Fee Engine and validate commissions, VAT, discounts, splits, and reversal logic
  • Trace fund flows and assess reconciliation logic between wallet sub-ledgers and the General Ledger
  • Confirm product changes follow approved change management processes and identify unauthorised modifications
  • Assess vendor-managed product risks, SLA performance, and third-party dependency exposure
  • Engage product and engineering teams early to build a control-by-design culture without compromising independence
  • Lead post-incident reviews and RCA reporting, ensuring compliance with CBN, PCI DSS, and consumer protection regulations
  • Prepare risk-rated audit reports for Executive Management and maintain the Product Risk Register

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or a related quantitative discipline
  • 3–5+ years in Product Audit, Systems Audit, Financial Data Analytics, or Payment Operations within fintech or financial services
  • CISA, CIA, or CFE preferred; ACA/ACCA acceptable with strong technical product and data analytics experience
  • Hands-on familiarity with payment product architecture, wallet systems, and regulated payment flows in Nigeria or similar markets
  • Advanced SQL skills for data extraction and transaction interrogation
  • Strong knowledge of payment systems architecture, transaction lifecycle, and API/integration concepts
  • Sound understanding of risk-based audit methodology, COSO framework, and CBN/PCI DSS/NDPR regulations
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, professional scepticism, and report writing skills
