About the Role
Dangote Group, one of Africa's most diversified business conglomerates, is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join the Dangote Sugar Refinery (DSR) in Apapa, Lagos. This position offers an opportunity to work with a multi-billion Naira organization renowned for excellence in business practices and operational efficiency across cement, sugar, flour, pasta, noodles, poly products, logistics, and real estate sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, prequalify, and engage approved local and international suppliers
- Request and evaluate quotations to ensure competitive sourcing
- Prepare bid analysis and recommend optimal sourcing decisions
- Evaluate Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and process Purchase Orders (POs) in SAP MM
- Coordinate approval workflows and ensure timely PO generation
- Monitor supplier confirmations and adherence to delivery schedules
- Manage import documentation including Form M, Letters of Credit (LC), and direct payments
- Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies including CBN and Nigerian Customs Service
- Maintain accurate procurement records in SAP and physical archives
- Generate procurement reports, spend analysis, and supplier performance metrics
- Support contract administration and supplier relationship management
- Ensure strict adherence to corporate procurement policies and governance standards
- B.Sc. or HND in Engineering, Business Administration, Purchasing & Supply, Economics, or related field
- Minimum two (2) years of procurement experience
- Proficiency in SAP MM
- Knowledge of import documentation and trade finance
- Strong supplier relationship and contract management skills
- Experience in import/export procurement or refinery operations (advantageous)
