About the Role
Food Concepts Plc has been revolutionizing the food sector in West Africa since 2001, operating iconic brands such as Chicken Republic. We are currently looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Intern to join our dynamic Supply Chain Division in Nigeria. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in strategic sourcing, inventory tracking, and vendor management, working alongside seasoned professionals in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and update trackers for all issued purchase orders to ensure seamless workflow.
- Monitor outstanding orders and proactively follow up with vendors on expected delivery dates.
- Obtain delivery confirmations from suppliers and receiving locations to verify fulfillment.
- Track outstanding deliveries closely and highlight potential stock-out risks to the team.
- Support the reconciliation of purchase orders against delivery documentation and invoices.
- Participate actively in procurement meetings and document critical action points.
- Assist procurement officers with daily administrative tasks and vendor correspondence.
- Support the implementation of departmental procurement policies and procedures.
- A good university degree in Procurement and Supply Management, Business Administration, Economics, Logistics and Transport, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
- Basic knowledge of Inventory Management, Cost Management, and Procurement Management will be a distinct advantage.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of integrity regarding supplier information and pricing confidentiality.
- Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
