As a Mathematics Teacher at Dabitos Schools, you will be responsible for planning and delivering well-structured lessons in line with the approved curriculum, assessing pupils' progress, and creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment. You will work closely with fellow teachers, school administrators, and parents to ensure the holistic development of every child. The ideal candidate should possess strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for teaching young learners.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons for primary school pupils
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with the school's curriculum standards
- Assess, monitor, and record pupils' academic progress and provide timely feedback
- Create a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment
- Identify and address individual learning needs, including remedial support where necessary
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and pupil performance
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school management to support pupils' overall development
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school extracurricular activities
- Enforce classroom discipline and uphold the school's code of conduct
- Continuously improve teaching methods through professional development
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree, NCE, or equivalent qualification in Education, Mathematics, or a related field
- Relevant teaching experience at the primary school level, particularly in Mathematics
- Strong understanding of primary school curriculum and child development principles
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for teaching children
- Proficiency in basic computer applications for lesson planning and record-keeping
- Membership with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) is an added advantage
